Fort Hays State University (FHSU) through its owner’s representative WECC LLC (WECC) requests competitive sealed Bid Proposals from qualified construction companies with “Utility Grade” WTG installation experience to perform as Prime Contractor for the installation of two (2) Suzlon 2.1MW S95 wind turbine generators (WTG) located on private leased property approximately 3.5 miles to the South of the FHSU campus (hereinafter described as the ‘Project Site’). Construction services include, but are not limited to:
(1) Construction of the Project Site infrastructure and provision of all support services;
(2) All required and necessary improvements to Ellis County roadways to accommodate WTG component delivery and heavy equipment associated with WTG foundation, erection and installation;
(3) Acquisition and installation of all requisite equipment and components not provided for by the Manufacturer under separate Contract;
(4) Foundation construction services;
(5) Electrical and 24 strand Cat V fiber communications cabling between the Project Site the FHSU campus;
(6) Unloading and temporary storage of WTG components and related tasks;
(7) Erection construction services and mechanical completion;
(8) Interconnecting WTGs into the campus grid at the Akers Energy Center,
(9) Restoration of all affected areas.
(10) Participation in commissioning of the two (2) WTGs and full systems test (Manufacturer will provide commissioning agents – Prime Contractor to assist) (11) Transfer of operation of two (2) WTGs upon commissioning.
