Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), a department of the City of Los Angeles, seeks to enter into a Concession Agreement for LAWA-owned property adjacent to U.S. Air Force Plant 42 near the City of Palmdale for renewable energy development. The approximately 17,500-acre property (Property) will be made available for up to 30 years for potential renewable energy development (including the pre-development and entitlement/permitting period), or until any part of the Property is needed for airport expansion. This Property will be divided into two Sites and evaluated using two separate Requests for Proposal (RFP), one for approx. 890 acres (Site 1) and another for approx. 10,000 acres (Site 2). This RFP is for Site 1; the RFP for Site 2 is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2012.
