Sealed Bids for the IT Room AC Unit Replacement Project will be received by Laramie County Community College, the Owner, at the Purchasing Office, located at 1400 East College Drive, Cheyenne WY until 3:00 p.m., prevailing local time, on August 28, 2012. Bids will be publicly opened, read aloud, and recorded. The Work includes and consists of furnishing all labor, operations, materials, accessories, incidentals, services and equipment ( exclusive of pre-purchased or Owner provided materials, accessories and/or equipment) indicated, specified, mentioned, scheduled or implied per the Bid Documents for work on the specific aforementioned project. The specific Work includes (but not limited to): Removal and Replacement of the existing Split System AC Unit serving the first floor IT Room in the Fine Arts Building. Equipment medium for new equipment matches existing: refrigerant pipe, packaged humidification, etc. The existing curb, ceiling, lights, ductwork, refrigerant piping, controls and equipment serving this space shall be removed and replaced. Existing domestic water, drain line, electrical panels, carpeting, etc., to remain and be reused. Temporary cooling shall be responsibility of the contractor, including the maintenance and operation of equipment in addition to providing the equipment for the AC changeover. Utilities are the responsibility of the Owner. Sensitive IT equipment will remain in operation and in IT Room. Contractor required to take measures to protect equipment and keep systems operating at less than 80F at all times. A current warranty is in existence for roof, and the Owner shall provide contact information at Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting regarding roof. All materials, services and/or work not specifically mentioned which are necessary in order to provide a complete project shall be included in the bid and shall conform to all Local, State, and Federal requirements in accordance with the requirements, terms, specifications, conditions, and provisions hereinafter contained. The work shall commence on/or about September 6, 2012, to allow for delivery of specified equipment and project shall be "substantially completed" no later than January 6, 2012. Access to the space for demolition and construction will be limited to the owner's Christmas Break and Staff Schedule for December 2012 and January 2013. A detailed schedule shall be provided at Mandatory Pre-Bid on August 20, 2012. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on August 20, 2012, at Laramie County Community College, 1400 East College Drive, Cheyenne, WY 82007, in the Physical Plant conference room. The instructions to Bidders, Bid Document, Plans, Specifications and Drawings will be available after August 15, 2012 and issued at the following location by referencing Owner's Bid RFB13-282. Bid packages will be issued at no cost: Laramie County Community College, 1400 East College Drive, Administration Building, Room AM-104 or 108, Cheyenne WY 82007. In determining the lowest responsive bid, the Owner will consider all acceptable bids on a basis consistent with the Bid package. The Owner will also consider whether the bidder is a responsible bidder. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within forty-five (45) days after the date of the opening thereof. All Bids must be signed and accompanied by evidence of authority to sign.
