Energy Project RFP Alert - US WV - Rupert Public Library Bid - Hvac System, New Electrical Services And Lighting

Sealed bids will be received by the Rupert Public Library, 602 Nicholas Street, Rupert, WV 25984 until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11th , 2012. Bids received after that time will be returned to the bidder unopened. All bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name "Sealed Bids: Rupert Public Library." Faxed bids will not be accepted. Bids may be mailed or delivered to Carol McClung, at the Rupert Public Library, if received prior to bid date. All bids must be submitted in accordance with the Bid Documents issued by the Architect and the Form of Proposal. All sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Rupert Public Library immediately following the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Interested parties are invited to attend. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 which prohibits discrimination in employment with regards to race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Copeland Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Act, and the West Virginia Division of Labor Wages for Construction of Public Improvements pursuant to West Virginia Code 21-5A-3. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder or an acceptable surety in an amount equal to 5% of the Bid shall be submitted with the Bid. The successful bidders will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of the contract prices. The successful bidder shall execute and deliver the corporate surety bond to the Owner within ten ( 10 ) days after the award and before signing the contract. No Bid shall be waived or returned because the bidder failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the Plans, Specifications, or any applicable statutes of the United States, the State of West Virginia and/or local ordinances. Bid documents (plans and specifications) are on file for inspection at the following offices during normal working hours: Rupert Public Library, 602 Nicholas Street, Rupert, WV E.T. Boggess, Architect, Inc., 101 Rockledge Avenue, Princeton, WV Contractors Association, Charleston, WV Kanawha Valley Builders Association, Charleston, WV F.W. Dodge Plan Room, Dunbar, WV To obtain Construction Documents, please contact E.T. Boggess, Architect, Inc., 101 Rockledge Avenue, Princeton, WV 24740 (304-425-4491). The cost for each set of documents is $100.00, plus $10 per set (both are non-refundable) if you request the documents be shipped to you. The bid documents are also available on CDs for $40.00 (also non-refundable). A pre-bid conference (not mandatory) will be held at the project site at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30th, 2012 . All general contractors bidding the project are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting to familiarize themselves with the project location, existing conditions and other relevant information, but are not required to attend. The Rupert Public Library Board of Directors reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein.
