The Industry Event will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Tyndall AFB Horizons Community Activity Center, building 1550, Tyndall AFB, FL. The event will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in Ballroom A. The Honorable Terry A. Yonkers, the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Installations, Environment & Logistics will provide kick-off remarks followed by Mr Timothy Unruh, Program Manager for DoE's Federal Energy Management Program. The Air Force will then present an overview of their ESPC and UESC programs. The majority of the afternoon will be reserved for the ESCOs and Utility Providers to provide feedback and suggestions on how the Air Force might improve and expedite the ESPC and UESC processes, break logjams and increase the number of AF opportunities. Due to the planned forum and venue, the Air Force requests that only one attendee from each firm plan to attend, if possible, but no more than two.

Energy Project RFP Alert - US TX - Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Lab Bid - Boiler & Air Handler Replacement

Remove and replace one (1) 1,610 MBTUH input, natural gas fired, hot water, water tube type boiler. Include housekeeping pad modifications as necessary to reorient boiler 90 degrees (in order to facilitate access to other equipment). Remove and replace three (3) air handler units (BC-A, B & C) each having integral H&C water coils, including necessary piping/connections to water, drain, ducting, etc. Remove and replace existing sheet metal return air plenum under air handlers. Replace one each chilled and hot water circulating pump. (Motors may be reused unless frame will not mate up to new pumps.) Include all related controls, appurtenances, and necessary piping/connections to water, drain, gas, electrical, venting, ducting, etc. as necessary for complete and fully functional systems. Replace four (4) starters that control AH-l, vacuum pump, and two (2) air compressors. Reinsulate all hot and chilled water piping in the mechanical room and insulate all new piping. Install new RPZ backflow preventer on the make up water line, pot chemical feeders and air eliminators, and expansion tank on the hot water loop. Flush entire heating and chilled water systems. Test and refill, adding glycol and proper chemicals. Periodically test and maintain proper chemical balance throughout the warranty period. Repair boiler stack and (unrelated) incinerator stack above the roof line as necessary to put in good condition. Correct existing vent pipe installation on three water heaters. Remove abandoned air dryer unit and service/clean coils on another. Clean coils on fresh air handler unit. Remove any loose, unnecessary items/debris from mechanical room, and clean/mop down the room thoroughly. Remove and replace 6°7° double HM door, steel frame, threshold and hardware. Patch in exterior plaster soffit where PVC roof drain piping penetrates.

Remove and properly dispose of existing boiler and pump and appurtenant equipment and provide and install new boiler pool pump and VFD controller and appurtenant equipment at City's Swim Center at 2450 Simas Avenue, Pinole CA. All new equipment must comply with Title 24 - Section 114 COMPLETION OF WORK: All work shall be completed within 40 working days following the written Notice to Proceed. Each bid response shall be accompanied by the bid securities attachments required as part of this Request for Bid. This may include, but not be limited to such items as: a list of proposed subcontractors, evidence of insurance, performance bond and a labor and materials bond as specified in the contract documents. In accordance with California Public Contract Code Section 3400, bidders may propose equals of products listed in the technical specifications or project plans by manufacturer name, brand or model number, unless the technical specifications or plans specify that the product is necessary to match others in use. Complete information for products proposed as equals must be submitted to the Public Works Officer for review at least 10 days before the time specified for bid opening in accordance with the bidders instructions contained in the bid package. Pursuant to the Labor Code of the State of California (California Labor Code Section 1770 et seq.)the Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of wages and employer payments for health and welfare, vacation, pension and similar purposes applicable to the work to be done. This rate and scale are on file with the Director of Public Works and copies will be made available to any interested party on request. The information is also available on the state's Department of Industrial Relations Division of Labor Statistics and Research Website www.dir.ca.gov/dlsr. The Contractor to whom the contract is awarded and the subcontractors under him must pay not less than these rates for this area to all workers employed in the execution of this contract. Each bidder must submit a bid to the City, addressed to the Director of Public Works on the standard forms available in the office of Director of Public Works. The bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit, a certified or cashier's check or a bidder's bond issued by a California admitted surety insurer, made payable to the Owner, in an amount not less than 10 percent of the total bid submitted. Bids shall remain valid and shall not be subject to withdrawal for ninety (90) calendar days after the bid opening date. The Project will consist of, but is not limited to removal and replacement of air cooled water chiller with new unit, replacement of air cooled condensing unit and replacement of existing pneumatic control system with new DDC control system. All bids must be received by 10:00 a.m., prevailing time, Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the Office of the Borough Manager, Douglas Arndt, Borough of Jefferson Hills, 925 Old Clairton Road, Jefferson Hills, PA 15025 and will be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter.
