Energy Project RFP Alert - US CA - Mayor'S Office Of Community Investment Bid - Energy Efficiency And Safety Improvements

Description:
The construction will improve the energy efficiency, comfort, health and safety for the building occupants of this historical landmark and its clients. The scope of work has been developed based on the investment grade energy audit performed by the Association for Energy Affordability (AEA).
Contractor performing air sealing, duct sealing and draft testing shall be a BPI accredited contracting company, or the crew lead directing site work being performed shall be a BPI certified professional. Contractor is required to file and obtain all necessary permits and at the completion of the work provide all signoffs from all agencies having jurisdiction over the work specified. Contractor is responsible for all payments of fees necessary to obtain the permits and sign-offs. Contractor must have the ability to hold their bid good for 90 days, start the work by Wednesday, September 12, 2012 and complete the work by November 15, 2012. Some of the onsite construction work must be scheduled during Saturday or Sunday or after business hours. Bidders should specify the type of materials that will be utilized, provide a description of how the construction process will work, provide minimum 5 year warranty on the work, and provide references of work completed up to 5 years ago.
