The University of Texas at Austin, Project Management and Construction Services, is requesting your response to the Request for Proposals for this COMPETITIVE SEALED PROPOSAL Project: Air Conditioning and Heating Renovations (Phase 7) - CP439651-12CSP029, Brackenridge Apartments (BRK). This email is notification that the Request for Proposals (RFP) with attachments is available for review at the PMCS Website:

The Notice to Proposers for this project and Addenda are all available through this link to the PMCS Website. Plans and Specifications will be available from Project Management and Construction Services starting on August 21, 2012 (call ahead to confirm availability at 471-3042) at the Facilities Complex Building 1 (FC1), 1301 E. Dean Keeton, Room 2.102, Austin, TX 78722.
The abbreviated Summary of Work is as follows:
Air Conditioning and Heating Renovations (Phase 7): Construct shed-type enclosures at each of five apartment buildings to house twenty new split system air-conditioning systems. Cut through concrete walls as necessary to facilitate installation of sheet metal ductwork distributed through the rooms of each apartment. Enclose ductwork in sheetrock furr-down and lay-in ceilings. Paint exterior of buildings including new mechanical sheds. Repair and paint exterior trim. Install gutters and downspouts where shown. Replace kitchen counters and cabinetry in all twenty apartment units. Replace bathroom counter & cabinetry at eight apartment units.
The general Construction Budget for the project is approximately: $585,000.00 to $663,000.00.
The following is the project schedule of work:
All work for this project must be completed within ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY (150) CALENDAR DAYS of the start date indicated in the Notice to Proceed.
A REQUIRED Pre-Proposal Conference is scheduled for August 23, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. in FC1 2.106 Large Conference Room. We look forward to your attendance.
Envelope No. 01 of the proposal is due by September 6, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. Envelopes No 02 & 03 of the proposal are due by September 7, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. Public proposal opening shall occur at this time.
