This project will require design/build construction services to design, provide, and install an effective energy saving comprehensive lighting control system in Building 390, at Rock Island Arsenal, Rock Island, IL. The project scope covers approximately 140,000 square feet in Building 390, primarily for administrative use. The system shall control all occupied office areas, as well as corridors, conference rooms, and stairways. Secure areas will be excluded from this project. The new automatic lighting control system shall provide a complete lighting control solution considering occupancy and day light harvesting. It should be user friendly, cleanly and unobtrusively installed, easy to maintain, and expandable in the future. Most of the lamps and fixtures are fluorescent and replacements are not part of the project unless necessary by the contractor's design. The contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, labor, and quality control. Work should be in accordance with provided scope of work, planning drawings, and specifications. Work should be accomplished within 120 days after award of contract. The rough order of magnitude for this proposed procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000.
