Sealed proposals for Mass. State Project No. 12-22, Contract No. 1 Title: New Renewable Energy Lab Will be received by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Holyoke Community College, attention: Kris Mazinski, Business Office, Frost Building, Holyoke, MA 01040, from bidders before 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 and then in said office opened publicly and read aloud. In general, the work includes: renovation to subdivide an existing classroom. 50% Performance and 50% Payment Bonds are required. Bidders are required to inspect the site prior to bidding to determine the existing conditions and their effect on the bid price. Failure to inspect the site and become familiar with the conditions will be at the bidder's risk. The bidding documents may be obtained by calling Dan Campbell, Director of Facilities and Engineering, at 413-552-2705. Prevailing Wage Rates apply to all phases of this project in accordance with M.G.L. 149, Sections 26 and 27. General bids are to be returned duly signed and identified as a bid for this project on or before 11:00 am, June 6, 2012, to Kris Mazinski, Frost 3rd Floor, Business Office, 303 Homestead Avenue, Holyoke, MA 01040; at which time and place the bids will be opened and read. Filed Sub Bids for HVAC and ELECTRICAL WORK are to be returned duly signed and identified as a bid for this project on or before 11:00 am, May 30, 2012, to Kris Mazinski, Frost 3rd Floor, Business Office, 303 Homestead Avenue, Holyoke, MA 01040; at which time and place the bids will be opened and read. Bids must be submitted on the form included in the specifications and shall be either typewritten or written in ink and signed by an authorized signatory. Bids shall be considered complete and responsive only if the following forms are completed and include: FORM FOR GENERAL BID OR FORM FOR SUB BID and A BID SECURITY FOR 5% OF THE BID AMOUNT. The bid security which must accompany this bid is 5% of the total bid amount in the form of a bid bond, in the form of certified or treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
