The Bethlehem Area School District will REQUEST FQR BIDS The Bethlehem Area School District will receive sealed bids in the form of a single lump sum contract for lighting retrofit in the Multi-Purpose Room/Gymnasium at East Hills Middle School, Governor Wolf Elementary School and Spring Garden Elementary School. Bids are due at the office of the Assistant to the Superintendent for Finance and AdministrationIBoard Secretary, Bethlehem Area School District, Education Center, 1516 Sycamore Street, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania 18017, no later than 12:00 p.m. prevailing time on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the East Hills Middle School, 2005 Chester Road, Bethlehem, PA 18017. Report to the main office for the location of the meeting. Any non-attendees will not be permitted to bid. Site visits are required and will be conducted as part of the meeting. Bidders shall contact Ann Behers at the BASD Maintenance Office, (610) 867-8635, to make arrangements for additional site visits. Electronic Contract Documents: Prospective Bidders may obtain one (1) set of Bid/Contract Documents in electronic format (PDF) upon request to D'Huy Engineering, Inc., One East Broad Street, Suite 310, Bethlehem PA 18018 (610-865-3000) for a non-refundable cost of Fifty Dollars ($50.00). Checks are to be made payable to D'Huy Engineering, Inc. Bidders may place orders beginning May 16, 2012 and documents will be available beginning May 24, 2012. An additional fee of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) shall be included if documents are requested to be mailed via U.S. Postal Service. Bid Bond, Performance Bond, and Labor and Materialman's Bonds are required. This Project is subject to the provisions of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act.
