The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center located at 2250 Leestown Road, Lexington KY has a requirement for the following work in accordance with specifications and drawings: Construction Project 596-10-107 Replace Heating and Cooling is for the replacement of the existing HVAC System in Buildings 2 and 3 at the Leestown Road location with HVAC System that meets the VA's HVAC guidelines. The work includes replacing two (5) air handlers (3 in Bldg 2 and 2 in Bldg 3 plus a rooftop AHU in Bldg 3), to include the following for both buildings, Ductless Split systems; Cabinet Heaters; VAV terminal units; Split System Heat Pumps; Grilles and Diffusers; Base Mounted Pumps; Coil Pumps; Return Fans; Air Curtains, Exhaust Fans, unit heaters in Bldg 3; ductwork, piping, balancing, controls; removal and re-installation of lighting, ceiling devices, equipment circuits, abandoned circuits. Demolition; asbestos removal (if necessary); Acoustical ceiling work; wall plastering; painting; vinyl tile work; work on roof; shingles, insulation and other work as identified in the specifications and drawings. There may be a requirement for some evening work. The construction cost range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with your bid if it exceeds $150,000.
