Seeking bids from licensed contractors to provide and install REPLACEMENT OF HVAC SYSTEMS AND WATER HEATERS FOR 34 SINGLE-FAMILY HOMES IN THE TIMBER RIDGE COMMUNITY IN IMMOKALEE FLORIDA . The project deadline for completion is Tuesday, August 14, 2012 . Funding for this project is provided in part by Collier County Department of Housing, Human and Veteran Services, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) using the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. Federal Regulations during construction will be enforced, including Davis Bacon wage rates. Minority, female-owned and small businesses are encouraged to submit bids for this project. Licensed Contractors are encouraged to solicit bids from minority and female-owned subcontractors. The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S.C.1701u (section.) An award shall be based on the lowest responsive bid offer with a bid preference available and to be given to a bidder who is a qualified Section 3 Business Concern per the Collier County's Purchasing Department's "right to match" guidelines and as outlined in the specifications. KUEHNER COMMUNITY CENTER, 2726 WILTON COURT, IMMOKALEE, FL on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 11:00am . This meeting will consist of a project overview, site visit, and a question period. Questions that arise during the meeting will be answered on site if possible. Other questions will be noted and evaluated by the Owner and a response will be formulated to all bidders. Minutes of the meeting will be sent to all contractors who had requested bid packets.
