1)      ACCELERATED PROJECT~ Recent reports have come out showing how the Obama administration has streamlined various renewable energy programs. These streamlined activities have been encouraged by not only hustling permits for various private contractors, but also allowing for many projects to be built on public land. This has raised questions of both favoritism, as well as issues from environmentalist who question whether solar land holdings on public land are detrimental to already fragile ecosystems. 2)      Memories of the Fukushima nuclear tragedy of last year still ring remarkably potent, especially when U.S. Senators and Congressmen make high profile trips over to the site. However, the entire buzz right now is around ‘what if’ the No. 4 reactor decided to give way. These scenarios have led to speculation about other plants, especially those in the United States.
