Sealed bid proposals addressed to the City of Denton, Purchasing Department will be received at
the office of the Purchasing Agent located at 901-B Texas Street in the Purchasing Department on
the second floor of the Service Center Complex until 2:00 p.m. on October 16, 2012 for City of
Denton - MLK Center HVAC System Renovations, as follows per bid instructions and specifications:
IFB# – 5020 MLK CENTER HVAC SYSTEM RENOVATION
A PREBID conference for the project will be held on September 26 , 2012, at 9:00 A.M. in the
Amons Room at the City of Denton Martin Luther King Recreation Center, located at 1300
Wilson Street, Denton, Texas 76205. To be followed by a MANDATORY Walk Through of MLK
Recreation Center.
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received later than the specified time and date will
be returned to the bidder unopened. The bids will then be officially reviewed and awarded by the
City Council as soon thereafter as possible.
All bid proposals must be made on the printed document forms included in the specifications.
The submitted bid shall not be altered, withdrawn, or resubmitted within sixty (60) days from and
after the date of the bid opening.
Copies of the Bid Invitation, General Conditions, Plans, Specifications and other bidding documents
are on file and may be viewed at the Office of the Purchasing Agent, located at 901-B Texas Street,
Denton, Texas at the Service Center Complex.
Qualified prospective bidders may obtain copies of the Bid Package electronically by submitting the
FTP NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT available at www.dentonpurchasing.com for this bid.
Each bid must be accompanied by an acceptable bid bond payable without recourse to the
City of Denton, Texas in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid submitted as
guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute a performance bond, a
payment bond and insurance certificate within ten (10) days after the notification of the
award of the contract to the bidder.
