Energy Project RFP Alert - US MA - The Town Of Longmeadow Bid - Furnace Replacement And Central Air Installation

Description:
The Town of Longmeadow on behalf of the Longmeadow Historical Society is soliciting bids for furnace replacement and central air conditioning installation at the Storrs House Museum. Complete specs and bid packet is available from the Purchasing Department: Town of Longmeadow, Attn: Chad Thompson- Procurement Manager, 735 Longmeadow Street, Suite 101, Longmeadow, MA, 01106 (Phone: 413-565-4185). Bid documents can also be obtained online at www.longmeadow.org, select ‘Departments’, then ‘Purchasing’, then select the link labeled ‘Bid & RFP Finder’, then select the bid document by title. Bidders are encouraged to register with Chad Thompson to get on the bid list. Others will be responsible for monitoring the website for issuance of notices and addenda.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will begin in the Community House Auditorium at 735 Longmeadow Street, Longmeadow, MA 01106 on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 beginning at 10:00am. The conference will conclude with project inspection at the Storrs House. Bids received from vendors who have not had a representative register on the attendance list during the mandatory pre-bid conference will be rejected. Additional conference requests will not be accommodated.

Sealed bids should contain the complete contact information of the bidder on the outer envelope and should be labeled: ‘IFB- Furnace Replacement & Central Air Installation at Storrs House’. Sealed bids will be accepted at the Purchasing Department until the bid deadline of Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11:00am. Late bids will be rejected. Bids received will be opened immediately following the bid deadline in the Community House auditorium (735 Longmeadow Street). All bids are subject to MGL Chapter 149. All bidders shall comply with minimum wage rates as set forth under the provisions of
M.G. L., Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H inclusive. Bid submissions shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. Bid deposits shall be payable to the ‘Town of Longmeadow’, in the form of a bid bond or certified check, treasurer’s check or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company. Upon contract award a 50% payment bond will be required.

The Town of Longmeadow, acting through the Town Manager, the Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive minor informalities, and to award a contract in the best interest of the Town.
