Description:
Sealed bid proposals endorsed with the name of bidder and title of work will be received until 2:00 P.M., Local Time, on the 28th day of June, 2012, in the Office of the Commissioner of Public Works, Room 303, City Hall, Racine, Wisconsin 53403, after which they will be opened publicly and read aloud. This project is valued between $100,000 and $200,000.
A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING will be held on the 20th day of June, 2012, 10:00 a.m. Local Time, Room 301, 730 Washington Avenue. Contractors who fail to attend will not be allowed to submit a bid on this project.
Project Description: This project involves upgrade to Boiler at Central Heating Plant.

There is a non-refundable fee of $35.00 for each set of Contract Documents.
Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The City of Racine reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities or accept that bid which in the opinion of the owner will serve the best interest of the City.
Bidders must be prequalified by the Commissioner of Public Works. Deadline for submitting a prequalification application is five (5) days prior to the time of bid opening. Prevailing Wage Rates may be required, refer to the Labor Standards section of the Contract Documents to determine applicability and see Wage Rates.
