The Morris County Vocational School District will receive SEALED BIDS for the proposed HVAC Upgrades for various buildings at the Morris County School of Technology, 400 East Main St, Denville, NJ ("Project"). Bids for the Project will be received at the Morris County Vocational District Offices, 400 East Main Street, Denville, NJ up until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, on July 10, 2012 and then opened in public by the Business Administrator for the Morris County Vocational School District in the conference room of the District Offices. Drawings, Specifications, Proposal Forms, etc. may be obtained from the Architect's Office during normal business hours beginning June 13, 2012. The bid documents have been prepared by the firm, Ronald Schmidt & Associates, P.A. With an office at 222 Grand Avenue, Englewood, New Jersey 07631. Telephone number 201-567-5005. Fax number 201-567-5773. Bid documents may be obtained directly from the office of the Architect upon receipt of a One Hundred Dollar ($100) non refundable deposit fee. Checks should be drawn to the order of Ronald Schmidt and Associates. Drawings and specifications shall be available for inspection at the Architect's Office from 9:00 am to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Documents will only be mailed to Bidders after receipt of a $50.00 handling fee made payable to Ronald Schmidt & Associates, P.A. Along with the above deposit. Bidders shall pay postage. A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Morris County School of Technology site at 10:00 AM June 20, 2012. Interested parties shall meet at the Main Entrance at the Morris County School of Technology, at the address listed above. Bidders who fail to attend this pre-bid meeting are solely responsible for any information conveyed by the district and/or their agents to bidders at this meeting. Bids will be rendered in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1, et seq. Each bidder must deposit with his Bid, a security in the amount of not less than 10% of the Bid, but in no case to exceed $20,000, in the form of a certified check drawn to the order of the "Morris County Vocational School District" or bid bond and subject to the conditions provided in the "Instructions to Bidders". The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract and satisfactory in form, execution and sufficiency of surety. Bids shall also include a Certificate of Consent of Surety obligating the issuing surety company to provide the bidder and its subcontractors, if successful, with a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the full amount of the contract. Bidders must comply with Chapter 33, Laws of 1977, regarding Disclosure of Partners and Stockholders. A Non-collusion Affidavit, Certificate of Pre-qualification, affidavit as to total amount of uncompleted contracts and a Certificate of Registration with the State of New Jersey must accompany each bid. Refer to Section 00100 - Instructions to Bidders for additional information. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27.
