RFP Description:
The Lenawee Intermediate School District (LISD), located in Adrian, Michigan, seeks proposals from
qualified energy auditing, engineering, and/or mechanical firms for the provision of commercial energy
audit services.
The LISD is requesting that energy audit services be performed on the LISD's TECH Center. Located at
1372 North Main Street in Adrian, Michigan, the LISD TECH Center is home to numerous careertechnical education programs for high school students, adult education programming, LISD pre-school
programs, and the JCC/LISD Academy. The TECH Center also accommodates numerous community
programs and events. The TECH Center campus consists of two primary buildings, the main building
(approx. 73,428 sq. ft.) and the east building (approx. 27,775 sq. ft.). The campus is also home to the
LISD's facilities-maintenance building and the Telamon building, which is owned by a third-party and
leased to LISD for use during the school year. The LISD shares the TECH Center campus with Jackson
Community College's Adrian campus.
The selected vendor will provide energy audit services for only the LISD TECH Center's main and east
buildings. Floor and site plans are attached to this RFP as Appendix "B".
The TECH Center's main building was constructed in the mid 1960's. Approximately 80% of the
building has been remodeled since that time although remodeling has occurred at different times. The
building consists of 12 classrooms, 4 industrial high bay labs, 1 kitchen lab, and 1 chemical/science lab
and maintains the following features:
Modern Technology Wiring and Wireless Access
ADA Accessible
Chemical/Science and Bio-Technology Lab and Equipment
Automotive Service Lab and Equipment
Audio / Visual Multimedia Lab and Equipment
Health Careers Lab and Equipment
Divisible Large Classroom Space for Approximately 300 Occupants
Electronic Access Control
Interior and Exterior Video Security
Central Office Space and Reception Area
Construction and Maintenance Labs and Equipment
Machining and Welding Lab and Equipment
Drafting / Cad, Engineering and Electronics Labs and Equipment
Hospitality Lab, Kitchen Equipment and Walk-in Cooler Freezer System.
