Energy Project RFP Alert - US IN - Board Of Public Works And Safety Of Muncie, Indiana Bid - Upgrade Lighting At Muncie Senior Citizen Center

Bids for the following project: Provide and Install Equipment to upgrade Lighting at Muncie Delaware County Senior Citizen Center Until 8:45 A.M. local time on the 9th day of January 2013. Each bid proposal shall be submitted in a sealed envelope on which is written “Muncie Delaware County Senior Citizen Center Lighting Project”. The envelope shall bear the name and address of the Bidder. If not delivered personally, the mentioned sealed envelope shall be enclosed in another addressed to the Owner and forwarded, preferably by certified mail. All bid proposals shall be filed with the City Clerk’s Office, 300 North High Street, prior to the time and place specified above. The bids will be publicly read at the above time specified. The proposed construction will consist of providing and installing necessary equipment to upgrade the interior building lighting at the Muncie Delaware County Senior Citizen Center. This project will be funded through the City’s Community Development Block Grant Program. The Contract Documents, including plans specifications and Federal requirements are on file in the Community Development Office, 300 North High Street, Muncie, Indiana 47305. Proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the proposal forms furnished to the Bidders. Wage rates for this project shall not be less than the prescribed scale of wages pursuant to the provisions of General Decision Number: IN120002 11/23/2012 IN2. Proposal and Performance Guarantee: Each bid shall contain the full name and every person or company interested in it and shall be accompanied by a bond or certified check on a solvent bank equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid, that if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and performance of its proposal secured, and a Performance Bond with good and sufficient surety, acceptable to the City, in the amount equal to at least one hundred (100%) of the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the contract. No bidder may withdraw his or her bid for a period of sixty-days after date set for opening of bids. The Board of Public Works and Safety reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding procedures.
