The Chicopee Housing Authority (CHA) invites electrical contractors to submit sealed bids for the GFCI outlet and lighting upgrades in 92 units at the Cpl. Kida Apts. in Chicopee. The work is estimated to cost $55,000. DCAM certification is not required. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.l49 44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. Interested parties are invited to a site visit beginning at 94 Riverview Terrace, Chicopee on July 25, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Bid packages are available at the CHA Modernization office at 6 Stonina Drive, Chicopee 01013 (413-594-3605 rkachinski@chicopeehousing.org) Plan deposit is $50/set with a $25 mailing fee. Bids are due at 2pm on August 1, 2012 at the Main Office of the CHA at 128 Meetinghouse Road, Chicopee, MA 01013. Bid submittals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit equal to 5% of the contractor's total bid including all alternates payable to the CHA by certified, treasurers or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company or a bid bond. No bids will be accepted after the stated time and date. Qualified minority and women contractors are urged to respond.
