Energy Project RFP Alert - US NJ - Dover Public Schools Bid - Air Conditioning Project

Sealed bids in duplicate are sought and requested by the Dover Public Schools (hereinafter called "Owner"), for the Academy Street School Partial Classroom Air Conditioning Project. Bids are requested for the Construction work in accordance with the Project Manual and other Bidding and Contract Documents prepared by P.W. Moss & Associates, 7 Plumridge Drive, Doylestown, PA 18902. Project: Academy Street School Partial Classroom Air Conditioning Project Work Includes: All General, Mechanical and Electrical Work associated with the Academy Street Partial Classroom Air Conditioning Project - Eighteen (18) Classrooms with Ceiling Recessed Air Conditioners and Exterior Condensing Units Contracts: Single Overall Contract Sealed bids will be received at the Dover Public Schools Board of Education Office in the High School's Main Office, 100 Grace Street, Dover, NJ 07801, on or before 10:00 am, August 15, 2012, Prevailing Time. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the same location, on the same day, at the same time. No bids will be accepted after this time. If a bid exceeds $20,000.00, the bidder must be prequalified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction as required by law and have a valid and current Notice of Classification prior to the date that bids are received. Any bid submitted under the terms of the New Jersey statutes not including a copy of a valid and active prequalification/classification certificate may be rejected as non-responsive to the bid requirements. Each bidder shall submit with its bid, a Certificate of Consent of Surety as per N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-25 from a Surety company stating that it will provide the bidder and all subcontractors, if successful, with a performance/payment bond in the full amount of the contract. One (1) prebid meeting will be held at the Academy School Main Office, 14 Academy Street, Dover, NJ 07801, at 10:00 am, July 25, 2012. This meeting is conducted for the purpose of considering questions posed by Bidders. All Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting. All requests for additional information and questions posed by Bidders must be submitted in writing and transmitted to P.W. Moss & Associates no later than August 1, 2012. Copies of said documents may be examined or purchased on or after the prebid meeting, during normal school hours at the Dover Public School Facilities Offices. Bidders may purchase the bidding documents at or after the prebid meeting upon payment of a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $ 50.00 for each complete Bid Package.
