Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Johnstown, Cambria County at 401 Main Street, Contract #: 2012-07, Room 104, Johnstown, PA until 1:00 PM on August 24th, 2012 followed by bid opening at 1:15 PM for the following in the Main Street East, Lincoln Street and ITC Parking Garages. THERE WILL BE A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING AT 10:30 AM AUGUST 7, 2012 IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS LOCATED IN THE PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING, 401 WASHINGTON STREET, JOHNSTOWN, PA, IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY MANDATORY SITE INSPECTIONS. The successful bidder will: Item 1: Remove and dispose of as provided by law existing fixtures and lighting in each garage. Item 2: Install new LED fixtures and lighting to code in each garage to include any all materials supplied and not supplied with the pre-purchased lighting kits (spec sheets and fixture samples will be available at the mandatory pre-bid meeting). Item 3: Provide site clean-up and close-out inspection walk. Item 4: Enter into a contract satisfactory to the City?s Solicitor. Prevailing Wages with Certified Payroll?s Apply. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $250.00 per calendar day. For third class cities the bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid made payable to the municipality. Additionally, a current and valid insurance certificate must also be included. For other municipal types it is the discretion of the municipality. A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
