The Food and Drug Administration, Jefferson Lab Complex in Jefferson, Arkansas, is seeking service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns interested in performing the boiler #2 replacement at the JLC. This project includes replacing of existing water tube boiler #2 at building 7 with new fire tube boiler with master Boiler control system. The scope of work also includes removal of the existing water tube boiler, Asbestos abatement of the existing water tube boiler, structural steel, roofing repairs and electrical upgrades. Options include; removal of exiting Feed water pumps, removal of existing DA tank and Surge tanks, removal of Feed water pipe in existing trench. This procurement will be set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220: Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors and the Small Business Size Standard is $14.0 Million. The period of performance is 365 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed price. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about August 6, 2012.
