RFP Description:
The University of Iowa (hereafter, The University/University) located in Iowa City, Iowa, desires to
obtain written proposals from qualified Suppliers to provide
lighting for parking garages on the University campus.
The data, specifications and administrative requirements
outlined herein are intended to serve only as a general
guideline for each proposal. Each Supplier is expected to
submit a fully detailed proposal that adequately describes
the advantages and benefits which The University of Iowa
would realize by acceptance of its proposal. The University of Iowa Parking and Transportation
Department solicits proposals for furnishing luminaries and
necessary appurtenances for a lighting system for the
University of Iowa Parking Garages. Selected suppliers
will be requested to mock-up in covered parking areas of a
select parking ramp. Installation of luminaries to be
completed by the supplier with coordinating with the
department. Fixture configuration shall be six (6)
luminaries arranged in an approximate 25’ x 30’ spacing
with two (2) fixtures per structural bay. After the evaluation
of the pilot luminaires will be purchased; the departments
will determine the awarded supplier as well as on the
number of luminaries to be purchased. At that time, a
potential of 1200-1500 replacement light bulbs will be
purchasing during the next three years, there is no
guarantee on the number of bulbs to be purchased.
