The University invites highly qualified firms to submit Letters of Interest and
Statements of Qualifications to provide engineering services at the University in Charlottesville for
the North Grounds Boiler & Chiller Plant Replacement project. Due to the multi-discipline nature
of this project, it is anticipated that the engineer will be the lead designer and will either use
internal resources or sub contract architectural, structural, geotechnical and site civil specialties.
The use of BIM and early design assist by key trade contractors will be essential features of this
project. The University reserves the option to break the design into several phases and use the
