Energy Project RFP Alert - US PA - Borough Of Lansdowne Bid - Design, Procurement & Installation Of Two-Stop Lift And Heat Pump Air Conditioning System

Description:
The undersigned Manager of the Borough of Lansdowne will receive sealed bids marked "Design, Procurement & Installation of a Two-stop Lift and Heat Pump Air Conditioning System at 20 Lansdowne Court, Lansdowne, PA" on Tuesday May 15th 2012 until 9:30AM, prevailing time, at the Lansdowne Borough Office, 12 E. Baltimore Ave., Lansdowne, PA 19050, where, at which time, the said sealed bids shall be publicly opened and read. Bids will be for the professional services, labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to develop and submit sealed engineering plans and calculations and the subsequent installation of two (2) split-system heat pumps, and two (2) Sanyo ductless heat pump systems and the installation of a of a two-stop lift from basement to first floor at 20 Lansdowne Court, Lansdowne, PA 19050. The Borough is providing conceptual guidelines for use in developing the final design. The successful bidder shall be required to submit design and installation drawings, including calculations of the proposed system sealed by a PA licensed professional engineer for approval by the Borough Engineer prior to the initiation of any work. All work proposed shall be in accordance with the applicable ICC Existing Building Code as well as state and local requirements. The successful contractor shall respond within 10 days of contract award. Performance period shall be 90 days following award of contract. Prevailing Wages apply to this project and the determination is enclosed. Proposal forms and specifications are obtainable from the Borough Manager weekdays between the hours of 9:00AM and 4:00PM. A non-refundable charge of $25.00 made payable to the "Borough of Lansdowne" will be required for each copy of the forms and specifications. The Borough Council reserves the right to reject any bid or any part of any bid and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder whose services are judged to best meet the interest of the Borough. The Borough also reserves the right to waive any informalities with the bids and to award multiple contracts. A certified check or bid bond for the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid total shall be required. Performance and Payment bonds will be required by the successful bidder in the amount of 100% of the contract price. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
