The Town of Ajax is soliciting Bids from qualified Engineering Consultants to provide a detailed scope of work, specifications, and drawings for future tendering purposes in order to complete the Boiler Retrofit at the Ajax Fire Station No. 2, located at 435 Monarch Ave in Ajax ON. The successful Consultant will be responsible for the following work: • Conduct a detailed condition survey of the existing Mechanical room and associated building equipment in order to recommend a suitable replacement of the existing electric heating system;
• Demonstrate a minimum of five years experience with Boilers and HVAC replacement, including mechanical background;
• An assessment and inventory of existing equipment;
• Determine necessary sizing of new boilers and equipment to ensure they meet the current needs of the facility plus any future needs;
• Determine best application for replacement of electric heating equipment;
• Include in retrofit all necessary mechanical/electrical equipment needed to operate new heating system;
• Provide opportunities for increasing efficiencies along with calculations detailing cost savings; and
