The University of Texas at San Antonio (the “University”) was established in 1969 as a public institution of higher education. The University serves the San Antonio metropolitan area and the broader region of South Texas through programs and services offered from its three campuses: 1604 Campus, Downtown Campus and the Institute of Texan Cultures. With over 30,000 students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate degree
programs, the University is the second largest institution in the University of Texas System and has been one of the state's fastest-growing public universities for much of the last decade. The University offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs and is a research intensive institution committed to discovery and innovation. The University’s 600-acre campus near the intersection of Loop 1604 and Interstate 10 borders the Texas Hill Country and is just a 20-minute drive from downtown San Antonio. There are over a dozen buildings on the 1604 Campus.The University is soliciting proposals in response to this
Request for Proposal number 31301568 (“RFP”) from construction contractors (“Respondents”) qualified in the field of Electrical/Lighting Work, to furnish construction services, support and other related and
necessary services with regard to Lighting Upgrades to Monterey Building – Downtown Campus (the “Project”), as more particularly described in this RFP, to include but not limited to, the attached
construction documents and plans, scope of work, general terms and conditions, and special conditions.
