Maitri is a 15-bed residence licensed by the California State Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing housing persons with HIV/AIDS and in need of hospice or 24-hour skilled nursing care. The 20,000 sq. ft., two story facility seeks engineering consultation in replacing its current HVAC system. ENGINEER shall coordinate and attend meetings with the client and other consultants as needed.
DESIGN PHASE I
ENGINEER shall ascertain the requirements for This Part of the Project and shall confirm such requirements with the client and other consultants as needed. Such requirements shall include, but not be limited to specific codes, regulations, standards and recommendations of professional and industry associations pertaining to engineer services. Using conceptual designs and existing blue prints, develop information, in conformance with Current Codes, that describe the required work provisions for the installation of the new HVAC system.
DESIGN PHASE II
When authorized by the client, ENGINEER shall prepare Design Phase II Documents from the Design Phase I Studies approved by the client. The documents shall consist of reports drawings and specifications and shall fix and describe This Part of the Project, including materials, equipment, component systems and types of construction as may be appropriate, all of which are to be approved by the client.
FIRST AND SECOND FLOOR MECHANICAL
Prepare drawings for heating, ventilation & air conditioning for both floors entirely.
PLAN CHECK/PERMIT PHASE
ENGINEER shall assist the client in filing of the documents, concerning This Part of the Project, required for the approval of governmental authorities having jurisdiction over the Project.
CONSTRUTION SERVICE PHASE
ENGINEER shall assist client, reviewing submittals, conduct site visits to assure that the equipment meets the requirements of the drawings and specifications. Engineer shall oversee the contractor’s work for the duration of the project.
