The Arkansas Department of Information Systems is soliciting responses from qualified consultants to provide professional engineering design services as defined by the Arkansas Building Authority Minimum Standards and Criteria (ABA MSC) for data center cooling system upgrades at the Department’s central office located at One Capitol Mall in Little Rock, Arkansas. The project will involve but not be limited to the replacement of redundant air-cooled chiller; chilled water main, pumps, controls, distribution piping; and computer room air conditioners serving the main computer room and tape vault as well as providing backup cooling to the phone, UPS, and battery rooms. The data center and supporting areas including mechanical spaces and UPS/battery storage rooms is approximately 29,000 SF. Responses received for this RFQ will be used to screen prospective consultants and select finalist for interview in accordance with the ABA MSC. The Agency reserves the right to negotiate fees on a percentage basis, lump sum basis or an hourly not-to-exceed basis on individual project assignments as appropriate for the contemplated work. This project will be partially funded by the ABA Sustainable Building Revolving Loan Fund. The deadline for submitting detailed responses to this RFQ will be 4:00 PM Monday October 15, 2012.
