Sealed bids will be received by the Township of Ewing for the Ewing Township Municipal Building Site Lighting in the Township of Ewing, Mercer County, New Jersey. In general, this project consists of the replacement, renovation, and upgrade to the existing exterior site lighting located at the Ewing Township Building, 2 Jake Garzio Drive, Ewing, New Jersey 08628, in Ewing Township, Mercer County, New Jersey. The work required includes the removal of the existing site High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting fixtures and replacing them with high energy efficient LED type lighting. Bid forms, contracts and specifications are on file at and may be obtained at the office of the Township Clerk, Ewing Township Municipal Building, 2 Jake Garzio Drive, Ewing, New jersey 08628, by prospective bidders upon request, upon payment of the sum of $50.00 for each set. Said Bids will be received, opened and read aloud in public at the Township of Ewing, Ewing Township Municipal Building, 2 Jake Garzio Drive, Ewing, New Jersey, 08628, Mercer County, New Jersey on Thursday, November 1, 2012, at 10:00 AM prevailing time, in the Ewing Township Council Meeting Room. PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED PRIOR TO OBTAINING SAID SPECIFICATIONS, EITHER BY MAIL OR IN PERSON. NO BIDS ARE TO BE DROPPED OFF AT THE ENGINEER'S OFFICE. Prospective bidders are hereby notified that an original (yellow pages) and one (1) black and white copy of the entire bid package must be submitted to the Township. The Township of Ewing reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Township of Ewing. Bids must be on the bid form prepared by Remington, Vernick & Arango Engineers, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and also bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bid upon. Said bids shall be addressed to Kim Macellaro, Clerk, Township of Ewing, 2 Jake Garzio Drive, Ewing, New Jersey 08628. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Township of Ewing in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. The award of the contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the Township of Ewing in a lawful manner.
