Energy Project RFP Alert - US NC - North Carolina State University Bid - Hvac Renovations To Robertson, Biltmore, P&P And Jordan

Description:
North Carolina State University is seeking qualification statements from general
contractors for HVAC improvements to Robertson, Biltmore, Pulp & Paper Labs and
Jordan Hall, located on NC State’s Main Campus. Work will include demolishing two
chillers and one cooling tower, replacing a section of underground chilled water piping
having multiple connections, HVAC renovation to connect the buildings to the chilled
water loop to include piping modifications and new valves inside the buildings, controls
upgrade to DDC for Pulp and Paper, and reconfiguring two existing chillers and cooling
towers at Biltmore and Jordan to serve the campus chilled water loop with surplus
capacity.
To qualify, the contractor must have a general contractor’s license in the State of North
Carolina as well as applicable bonding requirements. The contractor must show
comparable work experience, both in complexity and dollar value, and preferably in a
University campus environment, to the scope of work outlined above.
To be considered, the contractor must obtain an application package from the NC State
University Project Manager and submit a sealed, fully completed qualification document
by 5:00 pm, January 9, 2013, to David Hammock, project manager, at Administrative
Services Building III, 2701 Sullivan Dr., Suite 331, NCSU, Campus Box 7250, Raleigh,
NC 27695-7250. Application packages will be available electronically after December 6,
2012. NOTE: packages will not be available from December 21,2012 thru January 1,
2013. Please contact the project manager via email (preferred) or phone to request a
package. Three (3) hard copies of completed qualification packages must be submitted to
the project manager. Completed qualification packages will not be accepted
electronically.
