Energy Project RFP Alert - Canada - The Town Of Caledon Bid - Increase Efficiencies Of Existing Hvac System

Description:
The Town of Caledon invites proposals from qualified proponents for consulting services to increase efficiencies of the existing HVAC system, water usage levels and lighting at Caledon Town Hall (re-commissioning exercise), all in accordance with specifications, terms and conditions of Request for Proposal 2012-63.

Facility Information:
Town Hall is located in the Village of Caledon East at 6311 Old Church Road. The facility occupies approximately 60,000 ft2, comprised of municipal office space, council chambers and the Town Hall café, as well as a Provincial Courthouse and associated offices. The Town Hall building operates year-round mainly on a five-day per week schedule. The facility was constructed in 1974 and the courthouse and administration area expansion was completed in 2003.

Objective:
The objective is to achieve measurable operational improvements in the facility HVAC, water usage and Lighting.
The successful Proponent is required to identify the root causes of inefficiencies of the existing facility and/or equipment and provide recommendations for improvements which may include any necessary redesign or upgrade of the equipment or programming. This process will assist with improving the efficiency of the Town Hall building immediately upon completion of the required work, as well as assist as a framework for future capital improvements.

The study shall include assessment of the HVAC equipment, the air distribution system and DHW throughout the Town Hall building and verification that the entire system is operating within the design specifications, all dampers are operating correctly, and the controls system is properly calibrated.

The overall goal of the re-commissioning exercise is to increase the facility efficiency in conjunction with improving the working environment within the building.

Project Schedule:
The project shall be completed within six (6) months from the date of award of the contract. The tentative timeline is as follows:
January Project initiation and Project Team Meeting
February Complete all audits, equipment inspections and program reviews
March Shoulder season operation review
June Summer season operation review, Wrap up and Final Report Submission
