Sealed Bids for the following work involved in the Scully Building HVAC Up- grades - Phase II , Bid Number SB10491 at the Facilities Management Service Center, 610 Washington Avenue, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701 until 2:30 pm on Thursday, December 20, 2012 , and then pub- licly opened and read aloud. Bidders are informed that the Project is sub- ject to the require- ments of Section 292.675, RSMo, which requires all contrac- tors or subcontractors doing work on the Project to provide, and require its on-site em- ployees to complete, a ten (10) hour course in construction safety and health approved by the Occupational Safety and Health Administra- tion (“OSHA“) or a similar program ap- proved by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Rela- tions which is at least as stringent as an ap- proved OSHA pro- gram. All employees who have not previous- ly completed the pro- gram must complete the program within six- ty (60) days before the date work on the Proj- ect commences. On- site employees found on the worksite without documentation of the required training shall have twenty (20) days to produce such docu- mentation before being subject to removal from the Project. A certified or cashier's check or bid bond exe- cuted by Bidder and approved Surety Com- pany, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submit- ted with each proposal. A recommended pre- bid meeting will be held at 10:00 am on Fri- day, December 7, 2012 , in the Scully Building, Room 308 located at 1115 Woodlawn, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
