Sealed proposals will be received by the Housing Authority of the City of Englewood as Managing Agent for Westmoor Gardens Inc, New Jersey for the following Renovation Project: Boiler and Hot Water Heater Replacement at Westmoor Gardens, Buildings 145, 151, 155, 165 and 175 West Street and Building 8 Boiler Only and Building 4 Slocum Avenue, Englewood, New Jersey. Westmoor Gardens Inc, the Awarding Authority (the "Owner") through its managing agent, the Housing Authority of the City of Englewood, will receive sealed bids for this work in accordance with contract documents prepared by Paul J. De Massi AIA & Associates, together with such addenda as may be issued prior to the date of receipt of bids. Bids for the above will be received by the Housing Authority on 12 April 2012 at 10:00 AM, prevailing time, at the Owner's Executive Director's office, located at 111 West Street, Englewood, New Jersey 07631 and will immediately be opened and read aloud thereafter. A Pre-bid meeting and site inspection/walk through is scheduled for 29 March 2012 at 10:00 A.M. prevailing time, beginning at the Community Room located at 2 Slocum Avenue, Englewood, New Jersey 07631. Bidders arc encouraged to attend. Access to the buildings at any other time is restricted and wholly at the Authority's discretion. The Instructions to Bidders, Bid Form, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Division 1, Drawings, Specifications and other Contract Documents will be on file during the business day beginning on 19 March 2012 from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM at the office of the Architect, Paul J. DeMassi AlA & Associates, 576 Valley Brook Avenue, Lyndhurst, New Jersey 07071 and at the Housing Authority of the City of Englewood located at 111 West Street, Englewood, New Jersey 07631. Copies thereof may be obtained by paying a non-refundable deposit of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per each set, cash or cheek made payable to Housing Authority or the City of Englewood. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond issued by New Jersey Licensed Surety Company which is listed in the most recently published U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570, or by certified check in the amount call for in the Specifications, made out to the Housing Authority of the City of Englewood. Bids must also be accompanied by affidavits, etc., referred to in the Instructions to Bidders. Regardless of whether the Bid Bond or Certified Check is submitted for a bid guarantee, each Bidder must submit a Consent of Surety also from a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company which is listed in the most recently published U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570, stating that it will issue the necessary Performance and Maintenance Bonds should the Bidder enter into contract for this work with the Housing Authority of the City of Englewood. Bids must be submitted, in triplicate, in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Owner, as directed by the Specifications. Envelopes shall contain, on the exterior, the designation of the contract for which the bid is entered, and the name, address and telephone number of the Bidder. Each Bidder must submit, with its bid, security in the amount indicated below, subject to the conditions provided in the Project Manual.
