Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) will accept sealed bids for the Boiler & Chiller Replacement at Fountaindale Elementary School, Bid No. 2013-01. A Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. local time at Fountaindale Elementary School, 901 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742. Pre-qualification to bid this project is required in order to obtain the bidding documents. Sealed bid proposals must be received in the Purchasing Department, 820 Commonwealth Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21740, not later than Friday, February 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. local time. This project is subject to Minority Business Enterprise Procedures for State Funded Public School Construction Projects. Certified Minority Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation notice. The overall certified MBE subcontracting goal for this project is 12% with a sub-goal of 0% for African American-owned businesses and a sub-goal of 0% for women-owned businesses. This construction project is being bid with Prevailing Wage Rates; compliance with DLLR regulations will be a requirement to submit a bid. The Board of Education of Washington County, Maryland reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding.
