Energy Project RFP Alert - US CO - Platte River Power Authority Bid - Renewable Energy Supply – Wind, Contract

Alert Type: Bid Description: Sealed Bid Proposals will be received by Platte River Power Authority, hereinafter called Platte River, at 2000 East Horsetooth Road, Fort Collins, Colorado 80525, until 4:00 p.m., local Mountain time, April 30, 2013, at which time and place Bid Proposals will be publically opened and read aloud, for Renewable Energy Supply Wind, Contract Number HQ13-1701. Platte River is considering procurement of additional wind energy through a power purchase agreement (PPA) with a qualified counterparty. Approximately 120,000 MWh per year is being considered, which is roughly equivalent to the output of a 30 MW wind facility with an annual capacity factor of 45%. Proposals will be considered only from those Bidders who have submitted their qualifications prior to issuance of the specifications and documents and have been approved on the basis of those qualifications. Prequalification forms are available from Platte River at the above address or can be obtained from Platte River's website at www.prpa.org/finance/ . Completed Prequalification forms must be received by Platte River by 4:00 p.m. local Mountain time on March 29, 2013. Prospective Bidders whose qualifications are approved by Platte River may obtain two (2) copies of the specifications and documents on or about April 2, 2013, from Platte River. Two (2) copies of each Bid Proposal will be required, each submitted on the printed bidding forms bound with the specification documents. The bid shall be conditioned upon compliance with all provisions of the bid documents. No bid may be altered, withdrawn or resubmitted within 90 days after the date set for the opening of bids. Platte River will evaluate Bid Proposals. Platte River reserves the right to accept the Bid Proposal that, in its judgment, is the lowest responsive and responsible Bid Proposal; to reject any and all Bid Proposals, and to accept or reject any irregularities and informalities in any Bid Proposal that is submitted. Bids received after the specified time of public opening and reading will be returned unopened.
