Energy Project RFP Alert - US AR - University Of Arkansas Bid - Hvac And Plumbing Services

Alert Type: Bid Description: The Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas acting for the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is soliciting proposal to identify on-call ( one year with three additional years of renewal options) contractor (s) with expertise and experience in Job Order Contracting( JOC) for the above mentioned project. The University may opt to chose one or multiple contractors. JOC for this scope of work is primarily unknown and un-identified. MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference held on March 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Physical Plant Conference Room located 1601 L.A. Prexy Davis Drive. UAPB will not accept a bid from any bidder failing to attend the mandatory meeting. The University reserves the right to schedule additional mandatory meeting if it is determined to be in its best interest. The Owner will receive proposals until 2:30 p.m. local time, April 8, 2013. Proposals may be mailed or delivered to the UAPB Office of Procurement, Room 231 Administration Building, 1200 N. University, Pine Bluff, Arkansas hereinafter termed UAPB. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at the time and date mentioned. Interested parties are invited to attend. FAXED OR ELECTRONICALLY TRANSMITTED PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE RECEIVED. The Competitive Sealed Request for Proposal method and award shall be the basis for evaluating each proposal. Interested contractors proposal shall include responses to the following criteria which will be used in evaluating the Best Value proposal (pursuant to Arkansas Code 19-4-1416 (a) (1)) for the campus. a) 60% will be the Contractors co-efficient/rate b) 20% will be Qualifications and Contractors ability to do the type work described c) 20% will be the Contractors Work Plan( the intended approach to management of the expected projects) This invitation to bid does not commit the Owner to pay any cost incurred in the preparation of proposal. Further, the Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposal, and to wave any formalities Pursuant to Ark. Code Ann 22-9-203 the state encourages all small and minority business enterprises to submit proposals for capital improvements. Encouragement is also made to all general contractors that in the event they subcontract portions of their work, consideration be given to the identified groups.
