Aiken County Public Schools will accept sealed bids for the “2013 Silver Bluff High
School HVAC Renovations, Phase III Project” (This verbiage, along with the
contractor’s license number to be included on the exterior of the sealed bid opaque
envelope). The project includes HVAC replacement (duct and VAV terminal units),
rooftop and indoor hydronic air handlers & associated electrical, lighting, building
controls, ceilings, sprinklers, fire alarm, data/IT, intercom, and general construction work
for approximately 40,000 S/F. Performance and Labor/Materials (Payment) Bonds
with Power Of Attorney will be required at 100% from the awarded bidder.
Sealed bids will be received by the Owner until 2:00 PM on December 13, 2012, at
the Facilities Construction Department of the Aiken County Schools’
Administrative Offices at 1000 Brookhaven Drive, Aiken, SC 29803 at which time
and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. No bids accepted after 2:00
PM. A five percent (5%) bid security (if Bid Bond - with Power Of Attorney) of the
base bid and certificate of insurance are required with all bids.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 AM on November 29,
2012 at Silver Bluff High School, 64 DeSoto Drive, Aiken, SC 29803 (Phone # 803-
652-8100).
Plans & Specifications may be obtained by contacting the engineer, Buford Goff &
Associates, Inc., 1331 Elmwood Avenue, Columbia, SC 29201, (803-254-6302) upon
request (plan deposit is $60.00, with $30.00 refundable when returned in good condition).
