This Request for Bid (RFB) is issued by the Department of Purchasing on behalf of Housing and Community
Development, County of Mercer. The purpose of this RFB is to solicit bid proposals for residential heating and
hot water tank installation and repair for a two-year period. The intent of this RFB is to award five contracts to
the responsible bidder(s) whose bid proposals conform to this RFB. The County reserves the right to award
five contracts based upon straight time hourly rate. The proposal pages shall be considered an estimate for
each type of installation; the labor rate shall remain firm throughout the term of the contract. The County will
pay for labor and the type of system installed for each project. Respondents shall complete the proposal
pages included in the specifications. The county receives approximately $554,000.00 annually and anticipates
awarding the work to five contractors.
