Sealed bids from General Contractors for COMMUNITY BUILDING AIR-CONDITIONING in its Sullivan Apartment complex located at 104-120 Stafford Street in Springfield, Massachusetts; in accordance with the documents prepared by Leon Pernice And Associates Inc., AIA, Architects-Planners-Interior Designers, 34 Mt Pleasant Avenue, West Springfield, Massachusetts. The Project consists of a new air-conditioning system together with associated removals and alterations in the existing Community Building. The work is estimated to cost $68,000.00. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J and to Federal minimum wage rates. Bids will be received until 2:00PM on 18 January, 2012. Immediately upon the hour designated for receipt of Bids, such Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Deliver all bids to Wallace Kisiel, Springfield Housing Authority Maintenance Offices, 117 Sanderson Street (Rear), Springfield, MA 01107. Bids must be received no later than the date & time specified above; no late bids will be accepted or considered. Telephone, Email or telefax bids will not be accepted or considered. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount and made payable to the Springfield Housing Authority. Bid Forms and Contract Documents will be available for pick-up (call beforehand, telephone 413 788-0223) on or after 28 December 2011 (after 10:00 AM), at the office of the Architect, 34 Mt Pleasant Ave. West Springfield, MA. Plan deposit: $ 50.00 per set (maximum of 2 sets) payable to the Springfield Housing Authority. Deposits must be a certified or cashier's check, or money order. Deposit will be refunded for up to two sets upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty days of receipt of bids. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the Springfield Housing Authority. Additional sets may be purchased for $50.00 per set.
