Garden Park Street Lighting Area 7 - Randall Court Gretna, LA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS CITY OF GRETNA, LOUISIANA Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Gretna in the Mayor's Office, Gretna City Hall, 2nd Street and Huey P. Long Avenue, Gretna, Louisiana 70053 on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, until 1:45 p.m., local time, for the Garden Park Street Lighting - Area 7 - Randall Court project. At 2:00 pm. local time on the same day, in Conference Room 115, Gretna City Hall, Gretna, Louisiana, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bidders are requested to attend a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference on Friday January 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., in Conference Room 115 of Gretna City Hall, Gretna, LA. Without limiting the scope of work described herein, the proposed bid provides for removal of obstructions; removal and replacement of concrete pavement; fertilizing and seeding (as required); removal of existing street lighting system along North Randall Court from Linda Court to East Randall Court, along entire lengths of East Randall Court and South Randall Court, and along Linda Court from North Randall Court to Smithway Drive and all associated raceways, power distribution, and controls system; installation of a new street lighting system along North Randall Court from Linda Court to East Randall Court, along entire lengths of East Randall Court, South Randall Court, Ashton Street, Bolton Street, and Leighton Street, along Linda Court from North Randall Court to Smithway Drive, including the corner at Smithway Drive and Linda Court, and all associated raceways, power distribution, and controls system; and all other incidental work thereto. All Bids must be in accordance with the Contract Documents on file with the City of Gretna's Director of Public Works, 100 5th Street, Gretna, Louisiana, 70053, and at the office of Huseman & Associates, L.L.C., Consulting Engineers, 3925 N. I-10 Service Road, Suite 201-B, Metairie, LA 70002. Copies of the Bidding Documents and Contract Documents, consisting of drawings and specifications for use in preparing Bids may be secured from the office of HUSEMAN & ASSOCIATES, L.L.C., 3925 N. I-10 Service Road, Suite 201-B, Metairie, LA 70002, (504) 456-3119 by licensed contractors upon payment of $100.00 per set. Deposit on the first set of documents furnished bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded upon return of the documents in good condition no later than five calendar days after receipt of bids. On other sets of documents furnished to prime bidders, the deposit less $50.00 will be refunded upon return of the documents in good condition no later than five calendar days after receipt of bids. Good condition is defined as free of all pencil, pen and other marks. All sets furnished to subcontractors and suppliers are non-refundable. Partial sets will not be issued. Request for mailing Contract Documents will be handled by Federal Express only, provided the addressee supplies his courier's account number and "street" address.
