Alert Type: Bid Description: Goshen County School District #1. ENGINEER: Cator, Ruma & Associates, Co. BID DATE: April 3, 2013. BID TIME: 1:00 p.m. Sealed proposals, from General Contractors or Prime Subcontractors for the renovation of the HVAC Systems at Trail Elementary School, as shown in the Bidding Documents, shall be received by the Owner on the date above in the Board Room at the Goshen County School District Administration building, 626 West 25th Ave., Torrington, WY 82240. Bids received after the stipulated day and time will be rejected and returned to the bidder unopened, listed as a "no bid". The Bidding Documents may be obtained by accessing the SFD Website at: sfc.wyoming.gov once you have reached the siteclick on Projects, click on Up Coming Project, and click on click here to learn more on the project you are interested in, click on Bid Documents.Bidders are responsible for printing the documents (if required) and all associated costs. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held April 1, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Trail Elementary School. Following the Pre-Bid Conference there will be a walk-through of Trail Elementary School. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference and walk-through is strongly recommended. The Owner reserves the privilege to reject all bids or any bid or to waive any irregularities in any bid, or to accept any bid which will best serve the interests of the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after the date set for the opening thereof. Each Bidder agrees upon the submission of a bid that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and return the proposed contract and bonds within ten days after receipt of the Notice of Award of Contract. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid will be required in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check or Certified Check payable to the owner. Security will be returned to unsuccessful bidders. The bid security will be retained by owner as liquidated damages if the successful bidder refuses or fails to enter into a contract within ten (10) days after same is let to him or fails at the time of executing the contract to furnish all post bid submittals including bonds covering their faithful performance of the contract and payment of all obligations arising thereunder. Preference shall be given to Wyoming contractors, subcontractors, laborers and materials as required by all current Wyoming Preference Acts and Wyoming Statutes Annotated (W.S. 16-6101, et seq.).Attention is called to the provisions of W.S. 16-6-103 with respect to subcontracting by a successful resident bidder. Attention is also called to the provisions of W.S. 16-6-203 requiring resident labor on the project.The contract, unless exempted by rules, regulations or orders issued pursuant to Section 204 of Executive Order 11246 as amended, will include the Equal Opportunity Clause required by Paragraph 60-1.4 of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Rules and Regulations, 41 CFR, Chapter 60, Part 60-1, Obligations of Government Contractors and Subcontractors.
