Energy Project RFP Alert - US TX - Department Of Justice RFI - Replace Hvac Cooling Tower

Description:
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office - SCRO, plans to issue solicitation RFQP05171200001 for the construction of, to include but not limited to, replacing an HVAC cooling tower. The successful contractor will provide a "turn key" project replacing an existing two-cell cooling tower (Baltimore Aircoil Model 3458-2T) with a new equivalent unit. Modifications to existing wiring, piping, support structure, electrical system, plumbing etc. are required. Furnish and install one, two-cell factory assembled, induced draft, cross-flow cooling tower(s) with vertical air discharge (Baltimore Aircoil Company Model 3455C-2 or equal). Overall dimensions shall not exceed approximately 21 feet long X 10 feet wide X 13 feet high. The total connected fan horsepower shall not exceed 25 HP (kW) per cell. The performance period is 120 calendar days after receipt of a notice to proceed. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the complete construction of the work located at the Federal Detention Center, Houston, Texas. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The solicitation will available on or about December 30, 2011 with an anticipated bid opening date of approximately February 9, 2012. The solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website http//www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Faith Based and Community Based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
