This project provides for phased construction at Maryland Correctional Training Center, State's Medium Security Correctional Facility, involving replacement of exterior windows and replacement of radiant heating system embedded in concrete floor with new hydronic baseboard heaters in inmate cells, day rooms, and program spaces. Construction will be completed in sequence, starting with Housing Unit No. 2, followed by Housing Unit No. 1. The Pre-Bid meeting is scheduled for January 11, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. and will be held at the Gatehouse and Visitor Registration Center at Maryland Correctional Training Center, 18800 Roxbury Road, Hagerstown, Maryland 21746. For directions call (240) 420-1601. The MBE participation goal established for this solicitation is 15% with no sub-goals for African-American and Women Owned firms. The MBE Networking Session will be held as part of the Pre-Bid meeting. Project Classification is "F". Bid documents will be available for purchase on 12/13/2011.
