Bid Description:
The City is seeking a Design/Build contractor to provide four (4) high efficiency propeller fan gas unit heaters (Trane GHND or equal). Size units to maintain 70 degree F temperature in the space based upon standard design conditions. Provide units with Y-splitter nozzle and gas pressure regulator, as required. The expected life of the entire system shall be 15 to 20 years. The successful Design Build Team will work with City staff to develop all construction documents and provide the leadership to complete this project. The Design/Build Team will act as the General Contractor, provide payment and direct the schedule of all sub-contractors. Mount two (2) units each on east and west walls to provide full coverage of the space. Mounting height to be 15-25’ and coordinated with the windows, etc. in the space. Coordinate exact location and final mounting height with the Owner prior to final installation. For base bid pricing, provide local individual thermostat control of all unit heaters. For Option 1 bid pricing, provide individual remote DDC thermostats compatible with and connection to existing Johnson Controls DDC system.
