Sealed BIDS will be received by the City of Williston, Florida at the office of City Manager until 10:00 a.m. local time on December 22, 2011, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, incidentals and taxes to modify the existing ejector station on NW 5th Place to a submersible pump station with two (2) submersible pumps; install two (2) new vertical non-clog, dry pit, sludge pumps and two (2) new vertical turbine effluent transfer pumps at the City's WWTF; and install all related valves, fittings, and associated restoration work. Bidders must have prior experience as a general contractor in wastewater treatment plant construction in accordance with the requirements contained in the Instructions to Bidders to be considered. The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations: City Hall, 50 NW Main Street, Williston, Florida 32696, and Mittauer & Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 580-1 Wells Road, Orange Park, Florida 32073, (904) 278-0030. Copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained at the offices of Mittauer & Associates, Inc., (904) 278-0030 upon payment of a non-refundable charge of $75.00 for each set. Only complete sets of plans and specifications will be distributed. The Owner reserves the right to waive technical errors and informalities and to reject any or all bids. The City of Williston, Florida is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Bidders are hereby informed this project is being funded by a Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services grant which requires the successful bidder to conform to and comply with certain standards which are included or referenced within the project specifications.
