Project VA-256-12-R-0692 Architectural and Engineering Services necessary to prepare complete contract documents consisting of specifications, drawings, and any other documents for bidding purposes and engineering construction period services to result is an Energy Management Control System (EMCS) for two purposes: (1) a fully functional single system of Direct Digital Controls (DDC)automating the campus heating and cooling systems and equipment to provide comfort controls and (2) automated and integrated control of all energy producing equipment on the campus inclusive of all control systems for the energy producing equipment and the existing electric substation. The designers must show past projects and expertise sufficient to accomplish both design goals. The project will require the A/E to evaluate the existing buildings and equipment, make recommendations for installation of automated controls and design of a phasing plan during construction. This is an occupied medical center.
