Sealed Bids subject to the specification, terms and conditions on file in the office of Pennington County Housing and Redevelopment Commission will be received at 1805 W. Fulton St., Rapid City, South Dakota, until 1:30 PM., TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2012, for installing occupancy sensors and relays, upgrading light fixtures, ballasts, lamps, and associated electrical components, conduit, wiring and equipment in the specified areas at Jackson Heights Apartments, Valley View Highrise, River Ridge Apartments, and Edwards Manor in Rapid City, South Dakota, and Prairie Village Apartments, in Wall, South Dakota, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read. Any Bid received after the closing time will be rejected and returned unopened. There will be a Pre-Bid Meeting, 9:00 AM, TUESDAY, NOV 6th , at Jackson Heights Apartments, 1805 W. Fulton Street, Rapid City, SD. Attendance is not mandatory, but highly recommended. Each bidder must deposit bid security with the bid, payable to Pennington County Housing & Redevelopment Commission and shall be one of the following: Cashier's check or certified check drawn on a State or National Bank in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total of all Bid Items. Bid Bond, prepared on enclosed form, issued by a Surety authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota and acceptable to the Owner, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total of all Bid Items. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish (fill in if a specific form is required), Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as originally bid or subsequently modified. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities and to award single or multiple contracts to the Owner's best interests.
