Sealed bids will be received by the Owner, The Capital Sealed bids will be received by the Owner, The Capital Area Intermediate Unit #15 until 9:00 A.M., prevailing time on December 6, 2012, for Capital Area Intermediate Unit #15 Building HVAC Upgrades. Bids shall be on a stipulated sum basis for a single HVAC contract. The Work consists of replacing existing air handling units and variable air volume boxes, associated power connections, automatic temperature controls, and mechanical room door modifications/additions. The Project shall be substantially completed by November 1, 2013. Electronic copies of the Bidding Documents may be secured on, or after, November 12, 2012, from the Engineer's FTP website. Interested bidders shall contact the Engineer for FTP site access information. Bidders may purchase additional sets of documents from the Engineer at the Engineer's billing rate, non refundable. Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the Engineer and Mid-Atlantic BX. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 9:00 A.M., on November 15, 2012 at Capital Area Intermediate Unit #15, 55 Miller Street in Summerdale, PA. Bidders shall meet in the Keystone Room. Notice is given that the Project is subject to the following applicable provisions: The Pennsylvania Human Relations Act No. 222 1955, P.L. 744, as amended and supplemented. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act No. 442 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented.
